New Members Are Always Welcome

The "33rd Halifax Pipes & Drums" is a volunteer civilian band with members of all ages.
We are a non competitive band participating annually in parades and festivals throughout the province of Nova Scotia and beyond.
If you are already a piper or a drummer and have taken a break from the pipe band world and are thinking of re-entering, or perhaps you have grown tired of the competition scene and would like to be part of a band with a little more relaxed environment, give us a call, we might be just what you are looking for.
Though we are not a competition band, we remain committed to a program of continuous improvement.
This applies not only to the level of musical proficiency of the individual pipers and drummers, but extends to the overall organization as a whole.
We strive always to advance our musical skills and take great pride in our dress and deportment.

If interested in joining our band, we welcome your inquiries.
We are always interested in new pipers and drummers (snare, tenor & bass).
We can also recommend local instructors to get you started on the bagpipes or drums.
As you progress, and if you want to join our band, we will work with you to learn our répertoire and to prepare you for band membership.

All players must achieve an acceptable level of competency on the pipes and drums prior to being considered for participation in parades.
We will do everything within our ability to help you find the best way to reach your goal.

The band practices every Tuesday evening from 7:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.
at the Windsor Park drill shed (Building 41) off Windsor St., Halifax N.S..
